Cully Ann Crumpacker Obituary

Austin, TX - Cully Ann Crumpacker

Age 51

1974-2026

Passed away in the early morning of May 15, 2026

Preceded in death by her father Thomas Turner Crumpacker and her mother Mary Ann Rose Justman. Survived by her sisters, Katherine Rose Crumpacker(also known as Casey), Tessa Kate Justman, and Lillia Rose Justman.

Cully was a one of a kind human being. She spent her entire life as a person with profound autism. The identification of, understanding of and support offered for autism changed a lot over the course of her life.

She used musical instruments to survive, to stay present in a world that was sometimes overwhelming for her. Her particular style of playing guitar, keyboard, ukulele, accordion, thumb piano and others, cannot be replicated. She was a brilliant human metronome, among other things.

Her family, especially her mother and father and sister Casey have dedicated much of their lives to creating, finding support and thrive-ability in a society that often fell short of responding helpfully to her particular set of gifts and needs.

Hundreds of people were deeply touched by her way of being and she leaves a huge empty place in the world where she touched so many.
