Apopka, Florida - It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Bobby Richmond on June 14, 2025 at his home in Apopka, Florida.
Bobby was a compassionate, joyful man who loved animals (especially his rescued pets), listening to classic rock, collecting die-cast automotive memorabilia, and feeding squirrels and crows outside his garage man cave. An excellent cook, he was a professional barbeque pitmaster for over 20 years, serving up some of the best bbq in central Florida. He drew tremendous joy from sharing his cooking with friends, family, and neighbors.
He is survived by his wife Gale Hoover-Richmond, who was his high school sweetheart and the love of his life. He is also survived by son Daegan Richmond and family, son Chase Richmond, daughter Tiffany Summer Richmond, and by his step-children Stephen Rogers, Stephanie Chindamo, RT Rogers, and Brandon Soulier. He is also survived by his sister Doris Marion Richmond, niece Mimi Richmond Anderson, and aunt Linda Britto.
Bobby will be missed tremendously, and his humor and love of life will never be forgotten by those who loved him.
A memorial will be held at a later date with close family, friends and neighbors.
In lieu of flowers please make donations in Bobby's name to Great Dane Love of Central Florida Rescue, Inc. 321-759-3263, gdlcf.org.
