Rebecca Fore Alesch
Rebecca "Becky" Fore Alesch, passed away on Friday 11/22 at 4:14 pm at the young age of 66 after a long and arduous battle with chronic illness. She was surrounded by her friends and family who spoke words of love, support and encouragement to release her pain and let her soul be free.
Becky was born in San Antonio, TX and graduated from Mary Carroll High School in Corpus Christi. She later studied Child Development at Texas Christian University in Ft.Worth and graduated from Austin Community College.
Before her illness, Becky volunteered and worked as an advocate for women, children and the elderly. She was a director of a senior citizens center, a teacher in early childhood education, a volunteer turned manager at Planned Parenthood and an OB-GYN clinic and a community outreach liaison for the City of Austin Health Department. Her goal was always to help those in need and to give back to her community.
Becky was as dedicated in her career as she was to living life to the fullest. She loved art, fashion and especially music. Wherever she went, she became an integral part of the scene. Some of her most wonderful memories were formed when she appeared as a dancer alongside her brother's chart-topping band and on the show "Teen Time." She was also a regular at the Armadillo World Headquarters gatherings. Becky had an innate ability to connect with anyone she met, which was one of her many admirable qualities. This beautiful trait allowed her to cultivate genuine and lifelong relationships and excel in the work she did for others.
Becky was a caring, compassionate, lighthearted, very funny and wise woman whose strength of spirit was an inspiration to us all. Becky is survived by her daughter Amy Bickford, her husband Ed Alesch, her brother David Fore and Laura Conant, her sister Sharon Fore Crow and Jack Crow and her niece Julie Crow.
