TIMOTHY LYNAM

December 31, 1953 - May 2, 2024

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Timothy James Lynam, fondly known as "Timbo" and "Uncle Timo," on May 2, 2024. Born on December 31, 1953, in Bethesda, Maryland, Tim lived a life marked by a sharp wit, a thirst for adventure, and a love for sharing laughter with those around him. He left this world peacefully at the age of 70, surrounded by his beloved family.

Tim is lovingly remembered by his sister Pam, and his cherished niece Lluvia and nephews, Sage, and Quanah.

From his earliest years, Tim delighted others with his mischievous spirit and sense of humor. As a young man, he embraced life with joy, playing sports and exploring his surroundings on his bike. His natural curiosity led him to travel across South America, Mexico, Europe, and Hawaii where he shared his humor and passion for life with everyone he met. Along the way, Tim developed an array of eclectic interests, from leatherworking to jewelry making, constantly fueling his creative spark.

A true collector at heart, Tim gathered treasures from around the world with the eye of a curator. His collection of art, fine rugs, hand-crafted glassware, vinyl records, and unique antiques could rival any museum, each piece representing his adventurous spirit and appreciation for beauty.

In the 1980s, Tim found his sanctuary at Rainbow Ranch in Wimberley, Texas. Here, he transformed his property into a living homage to the Old West, complete with an OK Corral, a barbershop, a saloon, a man cave, and even a church. His creativity turned Rainbow Ranch into a place that felt like stepping back in time to a classic Western, reflecting his deep love for Texas culture and the rugged charm of the South.

Tim's friends and family knew him as a captivating storyteller, his piercing blue eyes twinkling with humor as he spun tales that left everyone around him smiling. With his rugged good looks and a style uniquely his own, he was as unforgettable as the stories he loved to tell.

Tim will be remembered as a visionary who brought warmth and laughter into the lives of those fortunate enough to know him. His family will carry forward his adventurous spirit, love of life, and the many joyous memories he created.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, we are still in the planning stages for a celebration of Tim's life. Friends and family will be invited to come together to honor his memory and to share in the love he left behind. In true "Uncle Timo" style, he may be there in spirit to wrap you up in one of his favorite rugs, just as he did with his niece and nephews so many times before.

Rest well, Tim. You will live on in our hearts, in our stories, and in every smile you inspired.
